Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a rapid admission unit in a Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior high-acuity trauma experience.

Details

• Rapid admission unit caring for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Faster patient turnover than a typical medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1 for M/S RN
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Deferred scheduling with no block scheduling approved
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments
• Background managing critical, fast-paced situations in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
