Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center with oncology and sickle cell caseloads.

Details

• Med/Surg unit with a patient population focused on oncology, step-down, and heavy sickle cell cases
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty in a similar size setting
• Chemo certification preferred
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Proven background managing complex, critical, and fast-paced cases required
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• No RTO permitted during the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
