Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center night shift position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

High-acuity surgical trauma floor within a Level 1 trauma center
Patient population includes surgical, gunshot, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients
Patient ratio of 5:1
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
No block scheduling; must be willing to work assigned shifts
Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
Unit supported by Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and a night unit secretary
Nurse handoff completed between ED nurse and admitting unit
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active GA or compact RN license required
BLS required, ACLS preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
Experience in high-volume, high-acuity trauma hospitals required
EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

Deliver nursing care in a fast-paced, high-pressure Level 1 trauma environment
No RTO permitted during contract
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
