Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 trauma center night shift position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience in a high-volume trauma setting.

Details

Med/Surg unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
Patient population includes spinal neuro trauma, surgical trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic and paraplegic cases
Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Deferred schedule type with 36 guaranteed hours weekly
No on-call requirements
Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
Block scheduling generally not approved
EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

Active RN license (GA state or compact) required
Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty
Experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required
Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
Skills checklist matching the specialty required
Certification card required
Nursys license verification required

Additional Information

Provide nursing care for high-acuity trauma patients including spinal neuro trauma, gunshot wounds, and paraplegic/quadriplegic cases
No RTO permitted during the assignment
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
