Key Responsibilities
Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities of neonatal and pediatric patients with impairments resulting from premature birth, birth injuries, disease, or other causes
Synthesize assessment data to establish individualized plans of care using evidence-based practice interventions and goals appropriate to patient age and development
Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies as part of dysphagia assessment and management
Collaborate and interact with interdisciplinary care teams to implement and assess intervention programs
Float across NICU, Pediatric, and Adult units as needed based on caseload demands
Document clinical findings and progress accurately using the facility EMR system (Meditech Magic / Meditech Expanse)
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
Neonatal (NICU) experience required
Demonstrated competency in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology
Preferred Experience / Skills
Pediatric clinical experience
Adult patient care experience
