    Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT)

    Seattle, WA | Acute Care (All Inpatient Areas)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite | Weekends Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services across all inpatient and acute care areas, including PICU, NICU, and general pediatric units, floating as needed
    • Manage airways, ventilators (including BiPAP and CPAP), and oxygen therapy for a patient population spanning neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
    • Administer medications, perform suctioning, pulmonary toileting, and nebulizer treatments
    • Participate in holiday coverage rotations; the unit has a particular need for Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve coverage
    • Maintain active Washington State RCP license and all required certifications (BLS, PALS, RRT, NBRC-RRT) throughout the assignment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and NBRC-RRT certification required
    • Active Washington State RCP license required for immediate start; candidates without an active WA license must be willing to apply upon offer (expect a 6–8 week lead time)
    • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
    • Minimum of 2 years of applicable respiratory therapy experience required
    • PICU or NICU experience required; intensive care experience is essential for this role
    • Proficiency in airway management, vent management, medication administration, oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, BiPAP, and CPAP
    • Local candidates are welcome and accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in trauma (Level 1), emergency department, or teaching/community hospital settings
    • Skills in high-frequency jet ventilation, high-frequency oscillation, EKGs, Code Response, and Rapid Response
    • Previous experience in a children's hospital setting strongly preferred
    • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
