Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

  • Float pool position within an Ortho unit that floats to Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU units as needed
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • No on-call requirements
  • 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
  • Rotating holiday coverage required

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience precepting, safety reporting, and multidisciplinary collaboration

Additional Information

  • Provides direct nursing care across multiple patient populations in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Conducts and documents patient assessments, care plans, and ongoing evaluations
  • May precept staff from various units as needed
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not work continuously beyond 1 year at this health system without a required 6-month break in service before returning
