Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Advanced Care/EMU unit requiring IL licensure and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in the Advanced Care/EMU unit of a hospital setting
  • Monitors EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity
  • Works alongside critical care team and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required
  • 5 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
  • Every other holiday coverage required
  • Epic charting system used

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
  • BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for a designated group of patients, performing assessments, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions
  • Utilizes meaningful hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and whiteboards to maintain communication with patients and families
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
  • Reports and corrects safety hazards and incidents
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not be continuously on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service
