Join our team as a Rapid Response Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery (L&D) at a leading acute-care hospital in Austin, TX. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-volume environment, with over 1,000 deliveries per month. We are seeking dedicated professionals ready to make a significant impact in maternal and newborn health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during labor and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform typical procedures including SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, and TOLAC.

Requirements:

• Must have current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN (to be included in submission packet).
• Experience with SVE competency and C-Section circulation is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internal monitor placement competency.
• Previous experience with HCA assignments/employments.
• Experience in a Level IV unit (high volume unit).

Unit Information:

• 32 beds with a staff of 150, including charge nurses and RNs.
• Patient ratios of 1:2, ensuring personalized care.
• Utilization of advanced equipment such as Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and US.
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech.

• Scrub Color: Navy blue (T-shirts are not acceptable; solid blue/black or grey sweatshirts only).
