Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, titrating medications, and providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patient populations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center with a focus on cardiac and postoperative patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of clinical experience, certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, proficient in BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tubes, IV management, and assessment of dysrhythmias.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience and community hospital exposure.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to alternate units if overstaffed.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be able to handle cardiac and vasoactive drips with titration and manage adult and geriatric patients. Experience with Epic charting system and cardiac patient management is essential. Candidates should be available to work every other weekend and must commit to working a minimum of three of five major holidays during the contract period.
