This 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment offers the opportunity to deliver compassionate, family-centered mother/baby nursing care while supporting mothers and newborns through recovery, bonding, and discharge preparation.

• Shift: Day shift, 12 hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Location: Issaquah, WA 98029
• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage required to support staffing needs; flexibility to float may be needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Mother/Baby, Postpartum, or a similar maternal-newborn nursing setting
• Travel nursing experience required; not open to first-time travelers
• BLS and NRP certification required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Ability to provide 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• Comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with varied maternal and newborn care needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality postpartum nursing care for vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Support couplet care and monitor normal newborn needs, including thermoregulation and glucose management
• Deliver patient education, including discharge teaching, breastfeeding support, and newborn care guidance
• Assist with post-operative maternal care, pain assessment, and recovery monitoring
• Administer and manage therapies such as blood products, heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate, and related postpartum medications as indicated
• Support use of equipment and interventions such as drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs when needed
• Collaborate with the care team to promote safe, positive outcomes for mothers, babies, and families
• Float to NICU, Labor & Delivery, or nearby sister sites when required by assignment needs
