• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks, with 26-week option available
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Float Expectations: May float to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery recovery areas as needed
• Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend days per contract

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Compact RN license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, postpartum, or high-acuity postpartum nursing experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium therapy, Pitocin, Foley care, and substance withdrawal preferred
• JADA experience preferred
• Must be comfortable caring for up to 4 couplets during census surges
• Must be willing to float as needed within the care network
• Must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
• Two professional references covering the last 1 year of experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality postpartum nursing care and couplet care to mothers and newborns
• Monitor recovery following delivery and support the transition from labor and delivery to postpartum care
• Assess fundus, lochia, perineum, and incision sites, and provide appropriate nursing interventions
• Administer and monitor medications and therapies such as Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin
• Recognize and respond to postpartum hemorrhage and other high-risk obstetric complications
• Support patients experiencing substance withdrawal with safety, empathy, and clinical precision
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong communication with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Collaborate with support services to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Adapt quickly to changing census demands while maintaining excellent patient care standards
