Experienced Mother/Baby RN needed for a 13-week travel nurse assignment in Issaquah, Washington, just outside the Seattle area. Join a collaborative postpartum and couplet care team and provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns in a scenic Pacific Northwest setting.

- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30)
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Setting: Mother/Baby, Couplet Care, Postpartum Nursing
- Weekend Requirement: Weekends required to meet staffing needs
- Float Requirement: May float to NICU or L&D, and may also float to a nearby campus
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of registered nurse experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required; not open to first-time travelers
- Active RN license required
- Compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
- Required certifications: BLS and NRP
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to work weekends as needed
- Must be comfortable floating to related women’s health and newborn care areas
- Must be able to provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled postpartum care and couplet care for mothers and newborns
- Support vaginal and cesarean delivery recoveries, including post-op nursing care
- Perform newborn assessments, thermoregulation, glucose monitoring, and infant identification
- Deliver discharge education and breastfeeding support to families
- Assist with management of postpartum complications and readmissions
- Administer and monitor medications and therapies as appropriate, including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Manage blood products, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs as needed
- Provide care related to OB-GYN and post-operative recovery needs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, efficient, family-centered care
