Description

American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring PALS certification and floating across multiple ICU units.

Details

  • Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) with potential floating to NICU, TICU, and CICU across two campuses
  • May float to general care areas when no ICU needs exist
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Utilizes Servo ventilators and RRTs in each ICU
  • Administers typical ICU drips, medications, and pressors
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00) with every other weekend

Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
  • BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only) certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • BSN preferred but not required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher completed within the last 12 months required for consideration
  • Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in the ICU setting
  • Facility is a nicotine-free campus and tests for cotinine/nicotine
  • Candidates must pass a medication competency test, with a second attempt allowed if the first is failed; failure of the second test results in cancellation
  • First-time travelers are accepted if their resume demonstrates the needed skills
  • Compliance documentation must be completed within specified timeframes after offer (signing, license verification, and labs)
