Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) Located in an outpatient setting, this role involves providing comprehensive therapy care to diverse patient populations. The position emphasizes initial evaluations, developing personalized treatment plans, and guiding patients toward functional recovery and community reintegration.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School; 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience; CPR Certification; 6 months of outpatient experience (highly desired); 1 year of experience required.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients, utilizing clinical reasoning to develop and modify treatment plans aimed at progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
  • Completes medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including documentation, goal setting, functional assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with applicable guidelines and policies.
  • Ensures care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval, as necessary for clinical care of the patient.
  • Participates in student programs as assigned, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision and evaluation.
  • Creates an individualized professional development plan, actively pursuing continuing education and professional growth through self-study and participation in professional organizations.
  • Adheres to state Practice Acts and other regulatory agencies, maintaining licensure in good standing and completing all mandated continuing education requirements.
  • Performs duties ethically in line with discipline-specific professional codes of conduct.
  • Demonstrates awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives and provides feedback to enhance quality of care and service.
  • Behavior Characteristics: Complies with organizational standards related to safety, appearance, attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Completes initial assessments, develops treatment goals, and documents all patient interactions according to organizational and regulatory standards.
