Description

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a Pediatric surgical unit requiring TX or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of OR experience.

Details

• Work in a Level 1 Trauma pediatric hospital's Operating Room department with 14 ORs and 2 endoscopy procedure rooms
• Perform both circulating and scrub nurse duties, including sterile technique and instrument preparation
• Documentation completed in the facility's Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Weekday schedule, Monday through Friday, 5/8-hour shifts (06:30-15:00)
• Call responsibilities required
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required prior to start
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Life Support certification required within 180 days of hire
• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent professional licensure required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Pediatric OR RN experience preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and communication
• Maintain sterile technique and assist surgeons during procedures
• Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted but may receive a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
