Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric CVICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit
• Patient population ranges from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease patients
• Cares for patients with congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU in the overflow unit
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week contract length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA)
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric and occasional adult cardiac patients across a range of complex cardiovascular conditions
• Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may reduce pay rate depending on distance from facility
