  • Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown / Telemetry
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Commitment: Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
  • Float Requirement: May float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units if overstaffed
  • Start Date: 10/19/2026

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license with compact license in hand at submission
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressive care, stepdown, or PCU nursing experience required
  • Strong experience managing and titrating cardiac drips is a hard-stop requirement
  • Ability to manage vasoactive drips and cardiac telemetry in a stepdown setting
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with a patient ratio of 1:4-5 preferred
  • Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patients
  • Must be flexible with scheduling and floating expectations

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care for PCU and stepdown patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs
  • Titrate and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol
  • Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythm or patient condition
  • Administer medications, monitor infusions, and respond to acute changes in patient status
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective patient care
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
  • Adapt to floating assignments as needed within Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, communication, and timely escalation of concerns
