Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs to work in a dynamic environment focusing on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Step Down care. We are looking for dedicated professionals to provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, primarily those newly diagnosed with acute leukemia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care in a PCU setting, ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention strategies.
  • Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias, utilizing Rapid Response Teams as necessary.
  • Administer IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines.
  • Utilize computerized charting systems such as EPIC for accurate documentation.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Overall 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a PCU setting.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • ONS Chemo Certification and NIHSS certification are preferred.
  • Skills in telemetry monitoring and patient management are essential.

Shift Information:

  • Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
  • Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Variable weekend scheduling based on unit needs.
