• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070-$2,180
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Day and night rotation in 6-week intervals
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic electronic health record (EHR)
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Float Requirement: Must be comfortable floating to related pediatric units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac stepdown or pediatric progressive care experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical skills in pediatric cardiac care, telemetry, and high-acuity patient monitoring
• Ability to provide 2 professional references at submission, including at least 1 manager or supervisor
• Must be prepared to float as needed and work rotating day/night schedules

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiac conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with medical and surgical cardiac diagnoses
• Support care for patients requiring tracheostomies, ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and inotropic support
• Care for post-op cardiac catheterization patients and patients recovering from CTICU
• Perform ongoing assessments, medication administration, and treatment interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary pediatric care team
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold patient safety standards
• Adapt quickly to changing clinical needs in a busy pediatric hospital environment
