• Float Requirement: May float to similar or lower-acuity units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a PCU, step-down, telemetry, or similar acute care setting
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV starts required
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a float pool environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to progressive care and step-down patients
• Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Manage IV access, perform IV starts, and support medication and fluid therapies
• Care for patients requiring complex monitoring and interventions within RN scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Float to comparable units within the organization as needed based on staffing and patient needs
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain timely, thorough charting
• Support a positive, efficient care environment while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence
