Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit/IMCU position requiring at least 2 years of PCU experience in a similar sized facility and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit with a cardiac patient population
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Cares for STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain patients
• May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit with lower acuity levels
• Administers cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of documented PCU experience in a similar sized facility
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital settings required
• Proven experience managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma situations

Additional Information

• Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as the travel rate
