  • Setting: Adult and geriatric acute care with PCU and Med Surg overflow

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Active RN license in hand before start date
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Epic charting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with PCU, telemetry, and Med Surg patient populations preferred
  • Must be comfortable floating between Med Surg and PCU units
  • Ability to care for adults and geriatrics with varying acuity levels
  • Willingness to work weekends as needed throughout the contract
  • RTO must be submitted with application

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality bedside care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit and Med Surg settings
  • Monitor telemetry and manage patients with complex medical needs and overflow acuity
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
  • Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
  • Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, IV management, cardiac monitoring, and related interventions
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
  • Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong communication with the care team
  • Float as needed to support staffing needs across Med Surg and PCU units
  • Promote a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care environment
