Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand before start
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
  • Nursys verification required with submission
  • Experience with Epic strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable floating between Med Surg and PCU
  • Ability to work weekends as needed, including frequent weekends during the contract
  • Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality bedside care to adult and geriatric patients in a PCU / stepdown environment
  • Float as needed to support Med Surg and PCU patient care needs
  • Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition with confidence and urgency
  • Administer medications, perform assessments, and manage complex clinical interventions safely
  • Care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, renal, and post-procedural needs
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Document accurately in the electronic health record and maintain excellent charting standards
  • Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered care environment on night shift
