We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in Everett, WA. This is a contract position with a focus on providing exceptional care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a PACU RN, you will play a crucial role in the recovery of patients following surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during recovery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and effective recovery process.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Washington State.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in PACU or similar settings preferred.
• First-timers accepted; however, experience is a plus.
• Ability to float as needed.

This position requires a commitment to high standards of patient care, as ASPAN standards are followed. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a total of 571 staffed beds across both campuses. The patient population includes those undergoing same-day surgeries, in-patient admissions, and observation patients. Types of surgeries include vascular, general, orthopedic, pediatric, urology, gynecology, neuro/spine, podiatry, ophthalmology, thoracic, trauma, bariatric, ENT, oral, plastics, and cardiovascular lab procedures.
