Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • At least 1 year of recent Operating Room or Surgery nursing experience
  • Cardiac OR experience strongly preferred; required for cardiac service line exposure
  • Neuro and spine experience highly valued
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
  • Weekend Charge Nurse experience preferred
  • BLS or equivalent Basic Life Support certification as required by facility standards

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical service lines
  • Assist with procedures including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, spine fusions, total joints, craniotomies, mastectomies, and DIEP flaps
  • Support a collaborative surgical team in an OR with multiple operating rooms
  • Deliver patient-centered care while maintaining efficient surgical flow and clear communication with the care team
  • Adapt to a variety of specialties including robotics, cardiac, vascular, neuro, spine, oncology, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and gynecology
  • Follow unit protocols and maintain professional standards in a safe, organized surgical environment
  • Contribute to a positive unit culture built on flexibility, self-direction, and teamwork
