Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring active MA licensure and hands-on oncology and infusion care expertise.

Details

  • 3-pod oncology unit with 10-bed pods and 1:3/1:4 staffing ratios
  • Rotating shift schedule with possible floating to other oncology units
  • Mixed oncology patient population including solid tumor, hematologic malignancy, and BMT/cellular therapy patients
  • Utilizes Tele monitoring, PCA pumps, blood warmers, bladder scanners, and Baxter pumps
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
  • BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
  • Primary source license verification required through NURSYS and BON within 30 days of start
  • Experience caring for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and solid tumor diagnoses
  • Experience with cellular product administration and clinical trials required
  • Proficiency with Tele, PCA pumps, blood warmers, bladder scanners, and Baxter pumps required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct care to oncology patients across a range of diagnoses and treatment modalities, including cellular therapy and clinical trial participants
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season with no medical or religious exemptions allowed
  • Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Boston to qualify for standard travel rate
  • Parking at Boston-area locations is not validated and may incur daily costs
