**Exciting Opportunity for Registered Nurses in Urgent Care!**
**Job Description:**
- Join a dynamic team in the Urgent Care Department, delivering exceptional care in an ambulatory setting.
- Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality services and efficient resource utilization.
- Provide leadership and direction to clinic staff, ensuring smooth operations across all areas, including front desk and patient care.
- Maintain medication inventory and supplies, ensuring proper quality control checks with Point of Care tests.
- Play a key role in the opening and closing of provider clinics.
- Document care and services meticulously and professionally, ensuring timely completion of nursing duties.
- Anticipate the needs of providers and staff to deliver efficient and quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively with departments to be a resource for patients, providers, and clinic staff.
**Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required:**
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
**Experience Required:**
- Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience.
**Knowledge and Skills:**
- Strong understanding of the nursing process and customer service principles.
- Proficient in safety and infection control principles.
- Skilled at completing assessments, anticipating needs, and specimen collection.
- Familiarity with computers and medical equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
**Abilities:**
- Multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate as a team player and engage in teaching when appropriate.
- Problem-solve and use critical thinking to foster good working relationships.
- Seek assistance when faced with new or challenging situations.
**Physical Demands:**
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
**Shift Information:**
- Urgent care operates daily from 8 am to 8 pm with varying shifts.
