Description

Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day/evening), every other weekend, some holidays. 4x12 schedule may be available for interested candidates. 2:1 patient ratio.

  • Provide critical care to medical, surgical, and trauma patients using advanced life support therapies including ECMO and continuous dialysis

  • Participate in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies at an academic medical center
  • Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and radiology
  • Serve as emergency responder throughout the hospital as part of a dedicated critical care team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience required)
  • At least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
  • Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Must pass telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility

Key Clinical Skills:

  • Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
  • Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
  • Arterial line and central line management
  • Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
  • Interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
  • BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula management
  • Experience with complex patient diagnoses including ARDS, ECMO, sepsis, post-operative management, liver transplant, vascular surgery, and trauma
