This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy acute care setting within a large Level 1 trauma center. The role requires flexibility with floating to different units and working night shifts, supporting a diverse patient population with complex medical needs.

- Position Description:
Responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac and other critical conditions, including post-transplant and LVAD patients. Responsible for assessment, monitoring using electronic fetal heart monitoring equipment, and administering prescribed medications including cardiac drips. - Required Qualifications:
Active license to practice as a registered nurse, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), at least 2 years of experience in a telemetry or critical care setting, experience with post-transplant LVAD patients preferred, and familiarity with electronic medical records including EPIC. - Schedule:
Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. - Additional Information:
Candidates must be comfortable with floating to similar units as needed. Mobile equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow oxygen therapy are used. This role involves working in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment with a patient ratio of 1 to 4. Training includes unit orientation over two shifts, and familiarity with complex cardiac care is preferred.
