Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse Nights Neuro Telemetry Unit. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, with a focus on stroke patients and neurology diagnoses. The role requires proficiency in NIH Stroke Scale assessments, neuro patient care, and experience with neuro-specific equipment and procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of nursing experience, Licensure valid in the state (compact license acceptable), at least 6 months of neuro experience, proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale, experience with neurodiagnoses, certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and knowledge of neuro procedures such as craniotomy, CVA management, and neuro stepdown. Experience with charting in Epic noted as required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro patient populations and critical care procedures.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to work every other weekend, commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays, and comply with unit-specific protocols. Candidates should be prepared to work on a designated stroke unit, with competencies in managing neuro patients, including spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. Candidates must have neuro-specific skills, including management of dysrhythmias and cranial procedures.
