Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Neuro nursing experience required; telemetry experience preferred
• Current RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience caring for patients with stroke, CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and neurosurgical conditions
• Comfort managing patient ratios of approximately 1:5
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong assessment skills and familiarity with the NIH Stroke Scale

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and neuro patients in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and overall patient condition
• Perform and document assessments accurately in Epic
• Support patients recovering from stroke, craniotomy, and other neurological diagnoses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, effective patient care
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical standards and provider orders
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Participate in unit workflow, including floating as needed to support patient care needs
