Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:30 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Nursing License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Med-Surg or inpatient rehab experience Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Rehabilitation specialty. The role involves providing care to adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs. The facility is a 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation environment. The goal is to assist patients in achieving their highest level of recovery and returning home as soon as possible. The organization is accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program. The position includes working with various equipment, such as mobility aids and vital monitoring machines. All nurses are expected to assist with patient safety by helping Certified Nursing Assistants and responding to call lights. Weekends and holiday rotations are required. Attendance is important and must adhere to internal policies. During shifts, staff is required to take mandatory breaks as specified. In future, there may be a requirement to float to other facilities within a short travel distance. The patient-nurse ratio is typically 1:7. This role may involve high patient acuity similar to a medical surgical unit.
