The facility offers specialized programs for individuals recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery and return home as soon as possible. The facility strives to maximize health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. The rehabilitation unit can have high acuity at times and functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit. Nurses are required to support nursing assistants and respond to call lights for patient safety. The patient population consists of adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs. Equipment includes mobility devices, vital machines, EKG machines, blood glucose monitors, and computers for charting. Electronic health records are utilized for documentation. All staffing will adhere to the internal attendance and tardy policy. Mandatory breaks will be enforced between shifts. Nurses must not stay past their scheduled shift unless approved.
