Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Traveler will work in multiple units within the facility. Telemetry test must be passed prior to starting. Clinical environment provides care for acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability. Specialty populations cared for include patients with cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post lung transplant. Registered nurses must be skilled in providing specialized nursing care. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring critical thinking and teamwork. Nurses are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team advocating for quality patient care. Experience in an academic medical center or similar size hospital is essential. Strong proficiency in acute care, vent, and transplant experience is required. Traveler will be required to float as needed. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratios typically are 1:4 for general care and 1:2 for IMC. Key skills include managing ports, arterial lines, central lines, and interpreting dysrhythmias. Experience in telemetry oncology and hemodynamic monitoring is necessary.
