Key Responsibilities of the RN for High Acuity Step Down Unit

• Provide direct care in a high acuity step-down unit
• Monitor cardiac and telemetry patients
• Utilize advanced equipment such as BiPap and IV pumps
• Conduct emergent cardioversion and participate in rapid response scenarios
• Adhere to safety protocols including regular physical assessments and bedside handoffs

Requirements of the RN for High Acuity Step Down Unit

• AK RN license, Permanent (no temporary licensing accepted)
• 1 year of step-down ICU/IMC/PCU experience
• 1 year of telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH-SS certifications
