Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week
Highlights:
- Progressive care unit with approximately 25-31 patients daily census serving medical-surgical teaching services
- Comprehensive patient population including COPD exacerbation, chronic kidney disease, anemia/GI bleed, altered mental status, and general medical-surgical conditions
- 24-hour orientation provided to ensure successful transition to the unit
- Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must be proficient in CPAP/BiPAP management and medication titrations
- Charge nurse capability on night shift required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac drip titration, and non-invasive airway management
- Competency in chest tube management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, feeding tube management, and high-flow nasal cannula
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership role)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
