TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend required. Float required within facility as needed. 24 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:
  • Progressive Care Unit specializing in surgical step-down and post-operative care including bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, and general medicine patients
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 3-4:1 with all attempts to maintain 3:1 staffing
  • Epic electronic medical records system utilized
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
  • Telemetry monitoring experience required; must pass telemetry competency test
  • First-time travelers welcome to apply (minimum 1 year of experience required)
Requirements:
  • Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive care, step-down, or telemetry nursing experience
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with telemetry patient monitoring
  • Competency in blood product administration, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, heparin and IV insulin protocols, non-invasive airway management, PCA, PICC line management, IV starts and maintenance, wound care, and surgical drain management
  • Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
  • Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
