Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license required at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC required Must-Have: - Experience in an Adult Trauma/Surgical unit in a Level 1 facility - Progressive Care experience - Trauma experience in work history Description: Candidates must have experience working in an Adult Trauma/Surgical unit in a Level 1 facility. Progressive Care experience is required. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. Candidates should clearly highlight trauma experience in their work history. It is expected that candidates will work 3 out of 5 Winter holidays. Experience with ortho injuries, spinal injuries, massive wound care, and traumatic brain injuries is necessary. Candidates should be prepared to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities as needed. Previous charge experience in a clinical setting is preferred. All compliance requirements, including exams related to medical and pharmacology, must be completed. Candidates must submit a reference at the time of application. Candidates should be aware of potential return staff policies and any licensure history considerations.
