Description:
This position requires working three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
Weekend and holiday rotations are mandatory, with no call required.
Travelers may be floated between campuses as needed.
Experience in a Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 is essential.
Candidates must possess skills in managing and interpreting cardiac telemetry.
Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and central line care/management is necessary.
Successful candidates will also demonstrate proficiency in high flow nasal cannula usage and isolation precautions.
The unit provides care for patients with diverse diagnoses including strokes and various endocrine, gastrointestinal, and hematological disorders.
All patients are telemetry monitored, and a centralized monitoring department provides cardiac surveillance.
Candidates will be expected to assist with specialized procedures and care for patients requiring extensive monitoring and support.
Candidates must be prepared to handle critical situations and provide comprehensive patient care.
Compliance with EKG examination is required.
Modules for training will be conducted during orientation and are unit-specific.
