Description:
No option for 13 weeks, must accept for 26 weeks if offered.
The position is in a tele capable unit; however, the patient population will primarily consist of medical patients.
Schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
The traveler will be required to work Charge RN shifts as needed.
Floating across various facilities may be required.
BLS certification is required.
Epic experience is required.
The traveler will be required to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
Responsibilities include the use of rapid response teams, blood product administration, peripheral line care management, and starting IVs.
Additional competencies include managing heparin, insulin, PCA, nasal cannula, and isolation precautions.
Patient ratios on the unit are 1:6.
Interdisciplinary support includes various specialized teams.
Patient age groups consist of adults and geriatrics.
The unit handles a specific patient population with diverse diagnoses.
Traveling nurses must have extensive experience in the relevant skills outlined in the job description.
Modules during orientation are unit-based and non-billable.
