RN – Pediatrics
Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: Days, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) | Every other weekend
Requirements:
- 1 year of RN experience required
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
- BLS and PALS required
- Epic experience required
- Experience in Pediatric Med-Surg
- Experience with respiratory support, including BiPAP/CPAP and oxygen delivery systems
- Experience with breastfeeding support, breast milk handling, and feedings (bottle, breast, gavage)
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/implanted line care
- Experience with hyperbilirubinemia and dysrhythmia management
- Must have a compact license in hand at submission
- Float between units within scope required
Description:
- Provide nursing care to pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents.
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients in a Pediatric Med-Surg setting.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and provide central and implanted line care.
- Support respiratory care, including oxygen administration and BiPAP/CPAP management.
- Assist with breastfeeding support, breast milk handling, and bottle, breast, and gavage feedings.
- Monitor and manage patients with hyperbilirubinemia and cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Maintain isolation precautions and follow infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
- Float between units within scope as required.
- Expected patient ratio: 1:3–5.
