• Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Schedule: Day and night rotation; weekends vary based on unit needs
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Special Note: No chemotherapy certification required

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience
• At least 1 year of recent PCU experience required
• Current acute care experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months
• Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• NIHSS preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Ability to provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 from a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to acute leukemia and hematology patients in a progressive care setting
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias while responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and other ordered therapies safely and accurately
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and related vascular access care
• Support infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention initiatives
• Use Rapid Response Teams and collaborate with interdisciplinary support staff as needed
• Perform feeding tube care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and related bedside nursing tasks
• Document thoroughly in Epic and maintain excellent communication with the care team
• Float to other Med-Surg Oncology units when needed
