• Shift: 12-hour rotating day/night schedule
• Shifts per Week: Typically 3 shifts per week
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940-$2,040
• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage is variable based on unit needs
• Float: May float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent PCU nurse experience required
• Current acute care experience within the last 12 months required
• BLS and ACLS required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Strong compliance, onboarding, and credentialing follow-through required
• Flexibility to work rotating days and nights based on unit needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for patients with acute leukemia and hematology-related diagnoses
• Monitor patients closely in a high-acuity PCU setting and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and other ordered therapies
• Maintain central lines, PICCs, peripheral IVs, ports, and other vascular access devices
• Perform feeding tube care and management, IV therapy, and phlebotomy as needed
• Support infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety initiatives
• Collaborate with rapid response teams and interdisciplinary partners to support safe, coordinated care
• Document care accurately in EPIC and follow unit standards
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on compassionate care and patient outcomes
