- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 19:00 - 07:30
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Patient Population: Adult oncology patients with progressive care needs
- Setting: High-acuity PCU with telemetry and med-surg overflow
Job Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- At least 1 year of PCU nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with high-acuity PCU patients strongly preferred
- Ability to float to other PCU or Med-Surg Oncology units as needed
- Strong infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical assessment skills
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult oncology patients requiring progressive care
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and cardiac rhythms
- Manage cardiac drips, heparin protocols, PCA therapy, and insulin-related protocols as assigned
- Perform and support central line, PICC, peripheral IV, and port care
- Assist with feeding tubes, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway support
- Support blood product administration and rapid response interventions
- Use unit equipment such as telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, infusion pumps, and specialty beds
- Maintain a strong focus on fall prevention, infection control, and patient-centered care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
