Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience
  • At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required
  • Current travel nursing experience required
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • NIHSS preferred
  • Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
  • Experience with blood product administration, IV therapy, central line care, and PICC line management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment with strict infection prevention and fall prevention practices
  • Epic charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality progressive care nursing to patients with acute leukemia and hematology-related needs
  • Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and patient condition updates
  • Administer blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and other ordered therapies
  • Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy support, and central line and PICC line care as needed
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including rapid response, respiratory, pharmacy, and other support services
  • Maintain strong infection prevention standards and help reduce patient fall risks
  • Document care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
  • Float to other MedSurg oncology units as needed
