  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
  • Orientation: 72 hours
  • Float: May float to equivalent or lower-acuity oncology PCU/Med-Surg units
  • Weekend Coverage: Variable based on unit needs

Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience
  • At least 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
  • Current acute care experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Strong telemetry nursing and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
  • Experience with high-acuity PCU patients required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced oncology healthcare setting and support infection prevention and fall prevention initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality care for progressive care oncology patients
  • Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Manage chest tubes, IV therapies, central lines, PICC lines, ports, and feeding tubes as needed
  • Administer and monitor blood products, heparin protocols, cardiac drips, and other ordered therapies
  • Support respiratory needs including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
  • Collaborate with rapid response teams and interdisciplinary support services
  • Maintain strong attention to infection prevention, patient safety, and fall reduction
  • Float as needed to comparable oncology or med-surg units based on staffing needs
