Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required
• Current acute care experience within the last 12 months
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical oncology and stepdown environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for PCU and med-surg patients in a mixed-acuity surgical oncology setting
• Monitor and manage patients receiving chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin drips, and heparin drips
• Support care for oncologic emergencies, including cytokine release syndrome
• Perform chest tube care and assist with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention and patient fall reduction
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, coordinated patient care
• Adapt to changing unit needs and provide support across assigned acute care oncology areas
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to adults and geriatrics in a high-acuity environment
