Job Requirements

  • 2 years of total acute care nursing experience required
  • At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required
  • Current acute care experience must be active and consistent within the last 12 months
  • Valid compact or state RN license required at time of submission
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience with Epic preferred/required
  • Ability to float to equivalent or lower-acuity oncology or Med-Surg units as needed
  • Strong background in telemetry, high-acuity progressive care, and adult inpatient nursing preferred
  • Professional references from leadership or supervisory roles required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit and oncology telemetry setting
  • Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and cardiac rhythms for adult patients
  • Support patients receiving complex therapies such as cardiac drips, insulin protocols, PCA, and heparin infusions
  • Provide care for lines, ports, PICCs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and surgical drains
  • Assist with respiratory support including nasal cannula, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy management
  • Administer blood products while maintaining infection prevention and fall prevention standards
  • Collaborate with rapid response teams, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to support optimal outcomes
  • Adapt to rotating day and night assignments based on department needs
