Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Location: unspecified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to cardiac and vascular surgery patients within a cardiac progressive care setting. The position requires flexible floating to similar units and adherence to high standards of clinical practice.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission, at least 2 years of experience in surgical telemetry (including open heart surgery, vascular, and radial band management), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, ACLS, BLS, and Epic electronic medical record experience.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have experience in post-operative open heart and vascular surgery patient care, telemetry, chest tubes, sternal precautions, and related procedures. Certified in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Able to demonstrate proficiency in managing advanced cardiac devices, arrhythmia interpretation, and emergency procedures such as cardioversion and defibrillation. Floating to similar units is required to meet unit needs, and flexibility is essential.
